Prior to starting Insurancesurf.com, Mr. Simms spent more than 15 years as an entrepreneur in the insurance industry.  Mr. Simms has worked primarily as an insurance producer, assisting his partner to build their agency’s business.  He began his insurance career in 1985 as an independent Life and Health agent. One year later, along with two partners, he founded a Property and Casualty agency.  In September of 1996, Mr. Simms opened his own agency in Puyallup, Washington.

Mr. Simms started his career in the food industry where he spent over 21 years with McDonalds Corporation.  He started in an entry-level position, as a crewmember and worked his way up to a management position.  During his 21 years with McDonald’s Corporation, Mr. Simms held a number of different management positions. In 1984, he ended his career with McDonald by taking early retirement.

Mr. Simms holds a certificate as a Certified Insurance Counselor. He is active in his local community. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the local Kiwanis Chapter, Salvation Army and current Master of the local Grange Chapter. He and his wife of 30 years, Johnna, reside in Puyallup, Washington where they have raised two children, Paul and Kelly.
